Dating During Day for Cheap Date Ideas Part 2

Today, I will continue talking about some fun cheap dates ideas that you can try… especially considering the lousy economy…

How about getting together with someone for some ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon at some old fashioned ice cream parlor? You could ask for a “taste” of some ice creams that sound intriguing… they will give you a little plastic spoon with a bit of that ice cream if you ask. Sort of like wine tasting but of course you need to settle on a flavor and get a scoop or two.

If you can’t find an ice cream parlor in your town… well, then just get an ice cream to go and take a stroll across a nice park if the day is gorgeous. There is nothing like soaking up some sun, watching other people and listening to the creatures at the park go about their business. And besides, this is a nice way to get to know the other person and decide whether or not you want to continue seeing this person.

If this isn’t your first couple of dates… then you can both pack a picnic lunch and spread it on the grass at the park of your choice. Or by a lake. You can’t really beat the scenary… or the price… and it is a quiet and intimate time to get to know one another better. However, it doesn’t mean you need to “cheap out” on the lunch. Get some nice and tasty sandwiches… some favorite chips and dips. And some good cheese and wine (if allowed at the park). And of course, you definitely need to have some decadent desserts to finish off the luncheon.

However, I do have to warn you that picnic lunches can become habit forming… so don’t say I didn’t warn you!! :)

Another fun cheap dates idea is to go to the matinee movies… and why? Well, the prices are lower… and there is less people. And yeah… the popcorn isn’t cheaper… so sue me! :)

But the bad thing about movies is you can’t really carry on a conversation… without annoying the other movie goers. So this is the main reason why I don’t recommend going to a movie for the first date.

OTOH, watching movies can give you opportunities to “touch each other” to see if there is any chemistry. And you also get to talk about the movie afterward… so it is a good conversation subject… but I still don’t think movies are a good idea for a first date.

Helping you rock your dating world,

John :)
