Susan Boyle is her name. She’s competing on Britain’s Got Talent.
She’s 47 years old, and she wants to be a singer.
She attempts to do… I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
Oh, boy!! It is something to be seen!
This is a classic example of all ages of why not to judge a book by its cover
A frumpy 47 year old woman with frizzled hair somehow wandered on the stage at the latest Britain’s Got Talent.
And from the reception she got… it was pretty obvious nobody thought she belonged there…
Of course until she started to sing…
And heck… even the grumpy guy… Simon Cowell winds up liking her… his smile was so broad that even I was shocked! Shocked I tell you…
Leave a comment what you think… and did the video changed your perception of NOT judging someone too quickly… it doesn’t have to be a potential date… but anyone that you meet… someone that you would normally ignore… someone that turned out to be a fascinating and interesting person…

Your post made me think a little differently about how we give and get respect to and from others. And you are so right about Susan Boyle, that we tend to quickly judge others. Sometimes a little too quickly. Thank you for reminding us.

Susan Boyle is amazing, a very stunning performance and as what the title of this post suggest, i think you are right. Susan Boyle really shows us not to judge a book by its cover. Standing ovation while everyone is applauding, she deserves more than that.

This is a classic example of the phrase “Appearance can be deceiving.” Susan Boyle showed Cowell what simplicity is. In fact she taught him a good lesson towards his vision of looking towards contestants. I wish Susan very good luck for becoming a good singer.

Susan Boyle is amazing. Watching that video I was thinking “oh man, this is going to be embarrassing” but then she started singing — holy cow! At 47, too. Never say never!

Hey guys… you are absolutely correct on that… Susan just shocked us all… it was simply unbelievable that someone that wouldn’t meet the definition of a “star” would flat out sing her heart out…
And not only that… I have seen rude and unprofessional articles that are condescending toward Susan… some people are just beyond help I suppose…
But I’m glad my readers are way more mature and recognize talent when they hear it…

I’ve seen this video before and it was so nice – not just entertaining. the absolute transformation in the judges and the audience when she started singing is beautiful!
I hope she continues to inspire more people
