David Letterman Sex Scandal is for the Ages

A few days ago when the David Letterman Sex Scandal broke out, Jay Leno didn’t waste any time when he stood in front of his audience and told them:

“If you came here tonight for sex with a talk-show host, you’re in the wrong studio.”

It was a joke at David Letterman’s expense… but what the hey… David has been dishing it out on everyone else for decades.

Granted, the real victim in this whole sordid mess was David’s wife. I can’t begin to tell you how terrible this all was to Regina.

And what the hell was David thinking? Most guys know that you shouldn’t dip your pen in the company ink… and David Letterman is the head honcho at his late night show! Talk about opening yourself up for numerous  sexual harassment lawsuits!

So this sex scandal has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue and in the rare chance that you were absent when this whole thing was twirling around the office water cooler…

Here’s what went down… apparently, the CBS producer for 48 Hours, Robert Halderman, discovered that his live-in girlfriend was having a relationship with David from reading her diary. So somehow he decided to blackmail David Letterman for two million dollars.

It was a total amateur hour because he was negotiating with David’s attorney, who then got in touch with the authorities and set up the blackmailer to be taken down.

And there are rumors that Stephanie Birkitt wasn’t the only girl David was ploinking…

So what the hell is wrong with you David?

And this sort of bad behavior isn’t exclusive to late night show hosts… lots of people cheat… famous, rich, poor and I suppose ugly…

Why? I don’t know! I’m not a psychologist but I can tell you my opinion is that cheaters have a defect in their character. Anyone that can rationalize away why it is OK to cheat on their partner is just kidding themselves.

But I defer to experts when it comes to deciding what to do if someone that you are having a relationship with is cheating on you…

I suggest that you take a look at the review of Break Free from the Affair on my main website to see if it can help you sort things out.

warmly,

John

I agree that’s it’s pretty scummy behavior form Letterman, particularly since he’s been mocking powerful and famous men for doing the same thing for ages.

However I don’t think it will destroy his career. Probably won’t even hurt it. The main reason is that he’s an entertainer. As long as he makes people laugh, they will forgive him for it.

Yeah, David Letterman can’t have it both ways without becoming a punch line himself…

OTOH, he is a personality… and it appears that just like Bill Clinton… folks will forgive him and look forward to his next show… (sigh)

    regards,

    John :)

I’m going to have to disagree with you here… if you did an research on who cheats more… men or women… or what percent of the men or women cheat, you will find results all over the map.

Here’s the truth about cheating… it happens because someone has a defect in their character… this is why it is critically important to really, really know the other person before committing.

For instance, let’s take Hilary and Bill Clinton… do you think for a NY minute that Bill “fooled” Hillary that he was a committed and one-lady man when they first started dating?

    I don’t think so!

I think it becomes apparent that a person is likely a cheater when you pick up clues while dating… this is when you need to trust your instinct… if the person feels like a cheater… that person probably is.

    John :)
