Marriage Relationship Advice Part 2
Now it is perfectly understandable that guys want to spend more quality time pursuing their own interests such as watching football, playing computer games or fishing. So they would more likely just hand the credit card to their sweetie and tell her to have some fun shopping. In the vain hope of course that the mall is open long enough… and is interesting enough… that the wife will happily wile the hours away until the football game is over. That would be terrible marriage relationship advice btw…
The truth of the matter is… this is just so wrong. What she really needs is quality time… only time… for her… from him. And he has to be totally into sharing that time with her… or everything just falls apart under the intense gravity pull from the black hole. (OK, I was just checking to see if you were paying attention.)
The biggest problem that I see for most relationships is that men give up their abilities to be a man. To lead… and ignoring her needs… pursuing his own stuff… isn’t being a man. And it is no wonder why many relationships are in so much trouble.
And yeah… yeah… blame it all on the guys… well, I do! And the reason of course is if the men remembered to lead in the relationship… to take that mantel of being a man… he will always earn the respect of his wife. In that time he totally bobbles the ball… he will lose her respect… and god forbid… she is going to be bitter and unsatisfied…
See where I’m going here? If you both loved each other in the past… then it is absolutely fixable… learn how to become the man again. To lead her… to bring adventure and romance to her. And she will respond if you do it right.
My suggestion is to check out The Master Plan by Scot McKay. It is a good program. I use this one myself to stay on the path.
Good luck,
John
