Tips How to Have a Healthy Relationship Part 2

To continue, I was talking about not ignoring the most important person in a long term relationship. And that would be YOU!
- Take up your hobbies again or even play some sports. Basketball, golfing or even kayaking. But do something that you like to do. Just because your partner may not like to do the same activities, sports or hobbies like you doesn’t mean you can’t do them either.
- Take a bath! I just love taking a hot bubble bath. I can actually feel the day’s stress drain from my body and I always feel much better when I get out of the tub. Whirlpools are good too.
- Go shopping or window shopping if you don’t want to spend money. But be sure to “treat” yourself to a lunch or a hot or cold drink. I like to stop by the chocolate store in the mall and pick up a scumptious chocolate truffle or two.
To sum it up… don’t ignore your own needs and wants in a relationship. You should definitely have some self-identity too. Just because you are doing things that you like to do and your partner may not be so enamored about doesn’t mean that you are a bad person. I seriously think you have the right to do stuff that you like once in a while.
