At age 41, I had pretty much given up hope of finding a wonderful
man and I had also given up my dream of having children.
It just didn't seem realistic.
I had tried another online dating service for a year and had many
dates but didn't meet the person I was looking for. I decided to try Match.com.
During the first week that I was online with Match.com, a man
name John emailed me. He seemed like a wonderful guy with the kind of values that I was looking
for. We had our first date, in a local coffee shop, a few days later. Although I fully anticipated
that the date would only last a half hour or so, four hours later we were still sipping lattes! I
had previously planned to visit New York with friends the following week, so we had a quick dinner
(and our first kiss) the night before I left town. When I arrived back, we got together to watch a
football game and have been together ever since.
We spent the winter traveling to places like Santa Fe, skiing
every weekend in the Rockies, and enjoying each other's company. When spring rolled around, we were
busy bicycling, road tripping, and fishing. In early summer, we went to Aspen to go to a concert.
During this trip, I found out that I was pregnant -- at age 42! I'm currently five months pregnant
and we were just married two weeks ago in Santa Fe.

wonderful man I could ever have met. We are very happy and looking forward to the birth of our son
in February.
